How offshore wind transport differs from oil and gas
Offshore wind personnel move in different patterns from traditional offshore crews. Technicians often work two-week rotations from a service operation vessel or a shore base rather than flying offshore by helicopter. Installation campaigns bring large teams to a port for a defined period and then move them all out again. Commissioning phases produce a constant trickle of specialists arriving for a few days at a time.
The result is a mix of large group movements, recurring daily runs and one-off specialist transfers, often for the same project in the same week. We plan them under one project reference so the developer or contractor can see the whole transport cost of a campaign in one place.

GWO training, inductions and pre-mobilisation travel
Before a technician reaches a turbine there is usually a training centre, a medical, an induction day and a PPE issue point involved, frequently in a different town from the port. We handle those legs too: hotel to training centre, training centre to port, port to medical provider, in the same account and at the same rates.
Weather windows and schedule volatility
Offshore wind schedules move with the weather. A sailing planned for Tuesday morning happens on Monday night because a window opens, or slips two days because it does not. We keep bookings flexible, confirm the evening before, and accept changes by phone at any hour rather than requiring a new booking each time the plan shifts.

Can you support a mobilisation with several vehicles at once?
Yes. For mobilisations and demobilisations we stage multiple vehicles at the same time so an entire project team moves in one wave, with a dedicated luggage vehicle where tool cases exceed the passenger vehicles' capacity.
Do you run daily shift transport during a campaign?
Yes. Fixed runs between accommodation and the quay at shift handover times are agreed in advance for the duration of the campaign and invoiced monthly under the project reference.
